All Star Press Pins

At lesser events, passes for the press are simply special badges usually worn around the neck with a plastic chain. For its premier sports events, Major League Baseball had the foresight to commission special jeweled pins, uniquely designed to incorporate the logo, colors and design of the home team. As a results, these brilliant pieces have become among the highest sought collectibles. The first baseball Press Pins were designed for the World Series, but the design was implemented for the 1938 All-Star classic at Cincinnati. After declined to produce the pins for a few years during the War, the All-Star Press Pins have been created from 1946 to the present. These unique collectibles make great gifts for the team collector!

World Series Press Pins

World Series Press Pins were introduced at Philadelphia in 1911 to permit stadium access for those press covering the Series with the Giants. Within a few years, both the visiting and home teams were producing these attractive collectibles. The history of the World Series is pure Americana lore so each pin uniquely captures the team and the time. The pins for many such teams - '60 Pirates, '55 Dodgers, '61 Yankees or the '69 Mets - are in very high demand among fans and make a great gift.
