1962 Salada FB Coins

Salada followed its popular baseball set with a 154 coin classic featuring the football stars of the day. Unlike the former, where coin rarities were created by virtue of its being issue in less popular flavors of desserts, the football set contains many SINGLE PRINTED coins, making it a challenge for advanced collectors. Coin condition is generally judged by the lack of chipping or flaking on the color coin rims and on the lack of rust on the coin reverse.

1962 Post Football

Post's only Football issue, the 200 card, blank-backed issue was printed on the back panels of various post cereals. Like the baseball cards from the same period, the cards must be very carefully cut from the boxes, ideally with black lines on all sides, in order to be considered in top condition. About two dozen cards retail for significant premiums due to the fact they were offered on less popular cereals.

1964 Coke FB All Stars

In 1964 Coke started a five-year run of football and baseball bottle cap premiums. The teams were issued only in their home team region, meaning distribution was quite sporadic. Their initial set was a 44 cap collection of NFL players. The caps were available on bottles of Coke, Tab and Fresca. Unlike subsequent years, the 1964 caps did not have a inner plastic coating. Each team was also issued with a cap saver sheet for affixing the caps - which were in turn sent in to Coke for a premium gift.

1964 Coke FB Packers

The 1964 Packer set of 36 featured many of the top stars of the day. The caps were available on bottles of Coke, Tab and Fresca. Unlike subsequent years, the 1964 caps did not have a inner plastic coating.
