Mickey's Clubhouse Sports Cards Non Sports Publications Autographs
1909-11 T206 White Border

The T206 Tobacco Set is the penultimate issue in the hobby. Issued over the period of 1909 - 1911, these cards were the first mass marketed baseball card issue.

1909 E90-1 American Caramel

The E90-1 set was issued by American Caramel from 1909 through 1911, with the bulk of the set being produced in the first year. The cards were issued with sticks of caramel candy and as such are subject to some staining. The cards feature color renderings of photographs with great color and design. The set features the rookie card of the great Shoeless Joe and is a favorite of the advanced collector.

1911 T205 Gold Border

These cards were issued in 1911 in a number of different cigarettes. They are extremely condition sensitive due to the gold-leaf borders. American League cards feature a color lithograph of the player inside a stylized baseball diamond - National Leaguers are featured in portraits above a plain background. There are also 12 minor league players in the set, those cards featuring a more elaborate design. There are many scarce variations making completing a set extremely difficult even in low grade.

1913 T200 Fatima Team

This set of 16 oversized team cards were issued in 1913 with Fatima brand cigarettes. The set consists of eight teams from each of the Major Leagues, featuring a total of 369 different players, managers and mascots. Due to the presence of many of the game's original greats, the Fatima Team Card set is very popular with collectors.

1922 E120 American Caramel 240 Series

This set of 240 subjects was produced by the American Caramel company in 1922. The set back shows the roster of the 15 players for the given team that was to be included in the set. The set is scarce in any grade and very popular with advanced collectors.

1934 Butterfinger

Cards in this set were available as a premium with Butterfinger and other candy products. The unnumbered cards measure approximately 7-3/4 inches by 9-1/2 inches and can be found printed either on paper or heavy cardboard. The black and white cards feature a player photo with facsimile autograph.

1934-36 Diamond Stars Baseball

Over a three year period, National Chicle issued this classic issue, featuring many HOFers and impossible high numbers. The quality artwork and striking colors are uniformally praised by collectors.

1934 Gold Medal Baseball

Gold Medal Foods issued this set of 12 blank-backed cards to commemorate the 1934 World Series. The set features 6 players from the Cardinals and 6 players from the Tigers and was available only via mail. Of course, this 1934 World Series was the famous Gas House Gang contest, making this difficult regional issue a collector favorite.

1948-49 Leaf Baseball

The elusive set has always been a favorite of advanced collectors due to the collection of current and past legends and some impossible single prints. The skip numbered set features 96 subjects - 49 of which are fairly easily to find and 49 of which are nearly impossible. The set contains many top stars such as Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, a long-retired Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner, highlight the standard set, and the rookie cards of such notables as George Kell, Larry Doby, Hal Newhouser and especially Satchel Paige are all among the scarcer run. The 1948 Leaf set is widely regarded as one of the significant collecting challenges in the hobby.

1948 Bowman Baseball

Bowman's premier set was a 48 card, black and white offering produced in 1948. Despite their somewhat drab appearance, the set is fairly popular with collectors due to the inclusion of twelve difficult single prints, and the Hall Of Fame rookies of Yogi Berra, Warren Spahn, Ralph Kiner and Stan Musial
