1960 Topps Baseball

Topps first horizontal issue since moving to its standard size in 1957, the 1960 Topps set features two photo card fronts with player names appearing in alternating colors. The higher number series is considerably scarce than the rest of the set and the All-Star, high number subset which completes the set is always in high demand. As with the previous year, the 1960 set includes a Rookie subset which features the first cards of Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Kaat and Willie McCovey.

1961 Topps Baseball

Topps produced one of its finest efforts with the 1961 set. Sharp color photos framed by a black border with a colorful bottom banner. The high numbers are especially difficult to find. The set is notable for its FIVE Mickey Mantle cards, the League Leader, Mantle's Series Homer, the regular issue, the MVP card and the High Number All-Star card. These subsets, plus one which covers great moments in baseball, make the set chock full of stars and HOFers. The set features the rookie cards of Billy Williams, Ron Santo and Juan Marichal. A classic!

1962 Topps Baseball

Topps produced a classic look in 1962 with the clever wood grain motif behind a peeling photo. These cards, nicknamed "woodies", were extremely puzzling to collectors at the time but are now recognized as a classic issue and an especially difficult issue to find in high grade. The set features rookies of Lou Brock, Gaylord Perry and Joe Torre and also features a sizable number of variations, including cards 110-196 which may be found with "green tint" photos. The Babe Ruth and the high number Rookie Parade subsets are also highly valued among collectors.

1963 Fleer Baseball

A lawsuit by Topps stopped Fleer's 1963 set at one series of 66 cards. Issued with a cookie rather than gum, the set features color photos or current players while light green borders frame the card backs which feature 1962 statistics and a brief biography. An unnumbered checklist was issued later in the print run, replacing card 46 Joe Adcock, and making significant scarcities in the process out of both.

1963 Topps Baseball

Topps bounced back from its bland 1962 design with one of its finest effort with the 63 Topps set. The set features sharp color photos, deep varied colored borders, and sharp clean backs. The set also produced a collecting rarity - the semi high cards (447-522) are actually very SCARCE - even more so than the higher numbers. The set also features many notable rookies including all time hit leader Pete Rose and HOFer Willie Stargell.

1964 Topps Baseball

The 1964 Topps Set is very popular with collectors due to its stiking design, white borders with photos which sometimes bleed into the margins. The set contains a final series of High Numbers which, like all major Topps issues of the 60s, are considerably harder to find than the lower series. The set is notably for the difficult #50 Mickey Mantle card, along with the rookies of Tommy John, Phil Niekro and Tony Conigliaro. Also popular are several combo cards - including one with Mantle, Kaline and Maris and another with Mays and Cepeda.

1965 Topps Baseball

Topps 1965 set ranks high as a collectors favorite. Combining great color photos with a colorful border frame and pennant motif, the set presents marked improvement to the 1964 issue. While not difficult to find, high grade examples still bring premiums due to the large number of collectors interested in the set, The set is stocked with HOF rookies such as Joe Morgan, Jim Hunter and Tony Perez, and also features popular poses of stars such as Sandy Koufax (staring in for a sign) and Mickey Mantle (completing a swing).

1966 Topps Baseball

Topps issued a very colorful set in 1966 which featured many important rookies. The difficult high numbers make this set a fun challenge for advanced collectors. Key rookies in the set are HOF pitchers Jim Palmer, Ferguson Jenkins and Don Sutton. The set's uncluttered design and colorful banners have made this set a collector's favorite. Especially tough are the first card, Willie Mays, and the last card, Gaylord Perry - both HOFers.

1967 Topps Baseball

Topps delivered one of their finest efforts with the 67 Baseball set. The most popular set of the 60's - this gem has clear, and sharp photos, condition rarities and tough single prints. The set features the premier rookie card for the 60s, the high number Tom Seaver rookie, along with rookie cards of Mark Belanger, Joe Niekro and HOFer Rod Carew. The high number series is significantly more difficult to find than the other series, especialy single print cards such as Red Sox team, Rocky Colavito and Brooks Robinson. From the first card (Brooks and Frank Robinson) to the last (Tommy John) this set is an all-time classic and a collector's favorite.

1968 Topps Baseball

Topps burlap design confused some collectors back in 1968, especially when Topps quickly modified its design for the 2nd series. The set has become one of the most popular and widely collected sets of the sixties. The set features one of the key cards of the decade, #177 Mets Rookies featuring Nolan Ryan, along with the rookie card of Johnny Bench. The set includes several popular 'combo' cards which feature Clemente, Mantle and Killebrew.

1969 Topps Baseball

Topps rebounded from the burlap design of the previous season with one of the sharpest (and largest) sets to date. The set contains a substantial number of variations, including a large run of 4th series cards that are found with both yellow and white letters, the latter are in high demand and bring large premiums. The key rookies in the set are Rollie Fingers and Reggie Jackson. Given their miracle season, the 1969 NY Mets bring significant premiums in the market.
