1970 Topps Comic Covers Topps issued this popular set of 44 corner peel stickers in 1970. Each sticker features a comic book cover including popular figures such as Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman. 16 of the stickers have a single subject cover, the remainder are in the style of 4-1 stickers which Topps used in a baseball test issue the previous year. Colorful and scarce, this set is always in high demand. |
1971 Topps Brady Bunch![]() Topps issued the Brady Bunch set of 88 cards as the now cult-classic was completing its second season on the air. Issued in 1971 though bearing a 1969 copyright, the set copies the popular television set motif and features the cast of the show at the height or their cuteness. Note to collectors, 55 cards from the set were test released in 1970 and bear a copyright from that year. |
1972 Topps US Presidents Topps resurrected its artwork from the 1952 Bowman Presidents set for this 1972 issue along with new artwork for Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon. Even more interesting was a candidate series - cards 37 to 43 - which featured political prospects such as Shirley Chisholm, Teddy Kennedy and George Wallace. Each pack also contained a campaign poster for past greats such as Lincoln, JFK, FDR and Washington. |
1973 Topps Wacky Pack![]() In 1973 Topps refined its earlier die-cut Wacky Pack issue and kicked off a series of Wacky Pack sticker issues that spanned nearly the entire decade. Topps endured many complaints and threatened lawsuits to release on of its most popular and best remembered issues.

1976 Topps Star Trek![]() Topps issued a set of 88 cards and 22 stickers of Star Trek, featuring the color photos from the television show - still popular despite being cancelled in 1969. Unlike the "spoof" set released by Donruss in 1967, this 1976 Topps issue features stills and episode descriptions of the characters and some of the memorable missions of the Star Trek series - making it the ultimate set for Trekkies! |
1977 Topps Star Wars Topps release five series of 330 cards and 55 stickers featuring Star Wars over a two year period - by far its most popular non-sports card set of the decade. Each series were printed on different color stock and were done in film frame style, highlighting the cast and their adventures from the movie classic. |
